Another Great June Sprints®
Another great June Sprints® race weekend at Road America. Special thanks to all our SCCA members who came out to help put on the race weekend. Also, a thank you to the drivers who came out to make the racing possible.
Saturday ended with BBQ pork and chicken at the all participant party, and a ride in the two-seater IndyCar was also given away. June Sprints Grand Marshal Peter Cunningham, a member of the SCCA Hall of Fame, shared a story about the first time he raced at the June Sprints, which had a rocky ending.
Things heated up Sunday at the June Sprints races, as temperatures soared into the 90s with high humidity, resulting in a heat index over 100 degrees. That created an additional challenge for competitors at the WeatherTech Chicago Region June Sprints, which was part of the 2018 Hoosier Racing Tire SCCA® Super Tour. But winning at this legendary June Sprints event is always a challenge.
