Winter finally arrived, and with a vengeance. So here we are at the beginning of February with a raging blizzard. Looking outside, the beginning of our season might seem to be a long way off. Nothing could be further from the truth. February actually has a lot going on.
Next Saturday, Feb. 7 is the annual Chicago Region Checkered Flag dinner and awards banquet at Lake Forest Sports Cars, when we get together to enjoy the company of friends and fellow motorsports enthusiasts, eat a good meal, have a few drinks and recognize the standout accomplishments of some of our members. I hope you’re registered and planning to attend.
The following weekend, February 14-15 is the Race and Performance Expo at Pheasant Run in St. Charles. Chicago Region will have a booth with a couple race cars on display and we’ll be talking to show attendees about the activities and advantages of SCCA membership.
