First Track Day of the Season a Success Despite Rain

A wet track was no deterrent to fun at the first Chicago Region track day of the year on Friday, May 26. The 53 drivers who took to the Autobahn Country Club North Course following an afternoon thunderstorm had a chance to learn the rain line and test their cars and skills. 

Representatives from event sponsor Underground Autosports were on hand to give a presentation and answer questions about the company’s services. The evening ended with drivers, volunteers, friends and family enjoying pizza and talking about their day. Thanks as always to our instructors and workers for putting on a great event. 

The next track day is on Friday, June 9. This is first time the club has held a track day on the full course at Autobahn. After that, we’ll be back on the North Course on Saturday, July 8. Then it’s on to a full day of driving at Blackhawk Farms Raceway on Monday, July 17. Check the region calendar for links to register.
