Learning Curve – Autocross School CANCELLED

March 16, 2020 UPDATE: To our friends and Chicago Region SCCA family, it is with a heavy heart that we have made the decision to cancel The Learning Curve Autocross school with hopes to reschedule at a later date this season. With the current CDC recommendation for cancelling events larger than fifty people over the next few weeks, we feel this is the right decision. We will be watching the current health crisis situation over the next week as we look to make a decision regarding Autox Events #1 and #2 as well. If you have already registered for the Learning Curve, thank you, there will be no action required on your part to receive your refund, just give us a couple days to process. And also look to your email you have on file with MSR for a similar notice of cancellation and refund. Again we thank you very much for being a part of the Chicago Region SCCA family.
The Learning Curve is a bit different than the average autocross event. The goal of this 2-Day autocross school is to get folks who are new to the sport to be more comfortable with the process and nuances so they can be more focused on racing and having fun while at the race. An autocross can be a stressful day if you aren’t prepared. By the end of this weekend you will be ready for pretty much anything that could come your way on race day.
Saturday Schedule:
8:00am to 8:45am – Registration and Check-in (if there is room for Walk-ups, please plan to be here at 8:00 to sign-up day of)
9:00am to 5:00pm School
We will have a lunch break midday.
Sunday Schedule:
7:00am to 7:30am – Arrive early, get car ready, find your instructor
7:00am to 8:50am – Walk Course with your instructor
8:30am to 8:50pm – Check In/Work Assignment
9:00am – Driver’s meeting
We will have a lunch break midday.
We typically finish up around 5:00pm but there is potential variability in this.
