2012 PDX #1 – May 25th at Autobahn CC

Event 1 is in the books and I think everyone would agree it was a very successful kickoff to Chicago Region’s PDX-Track Day season.  The weather was great, car count was good (52 more or less), and Mother Nature provided a stunning sunset during the final session, which we elected to checker a few minutes early for darkness.  There was a nice mix of first timers and experienced drivers who drove well under the watchful eyes of the PDX instructors.  Those who had not driven the Autobahn Country Club’s 1.5 mile North Course before found the mix of low, medium and high speed, decreasing and increasing radius turns a nice challenge with which to hone their driving skills.  All cars and drivers finished the day with big smiles and undamaged cars.
