June 2018 REmarks
Hello Everyone, we have made it to June and we are in full race mode.
In road racing, few events can match the history and tradition of the June Sprints® at Road America. Consider that when the first June Sprints® race was held at Road America in 1956, other iconic American race tracks, including Watkins Glen (completed in 1956), Laguna Seca (1957), Riverside (1957), Daytona (1959), and Mid-Ohio (1962) did not yet even exist. Drivers will be competing for a share of the largest pool of cash and product awards at any SCCA amateur race. Watch some 2017 June Sprints highlights.
The Track Days program is will be hosting its second event on June 1stAutobahn Country Club. Their first event was able to dodge some potential rain and was a great event. Check out the video.
The Autocrossers have already had two races and the new drivers school. The last event had 135 drivers and received a lot of positive reviews. Here is a run from one of Chicago’s top drivers, Alex Tziortzis
