2019 Geneva Concours d’Elegance
Chicago Region SCCA is back for a second year at the Geneva Concours d’Elegance, August 25th, 2019
This year is the 75th anniversary of the Sports Car Club of America. Chicago Region SCCA will be celebrating this milestone at the Geneva Concours d’Elegance. The Geneva Concours has taken place for over a decade and regularly draws over 175 classics, exotics and racecars. The Concours is a Not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization promoting the art of the automobile to benefit the LIVINGWELL Cancer Resource Center, in Geneva, Illinois. Therefore, our participation in this event will support this benefactor.
This one day event on August 25, 2019 is located on south Third St. in Geneva, Illinois. The Chicago Region will again also be conducting our own concours on that day, the “Concours for Sports Cars”. The Region’s concours with five trophy categories will be our own car show within the Geneva Concours. Chicago Region will also be selecting one vehicle from our display to be a recipient of the prestigious Carl Benz Trophy from the Geneva Concours d’Elegance. All vehicles in the Region’s display will need to be in place by 9:00am and remain on display until 4:00pm. The event takes place rain or shine, and secure tow vehicle parking is available.
The Chicago Region’s Activities Committee will conduct the entry selection process based on information provided on the 2019 Concours for Sports Cars Registration Form. Additionally, include some history and photograph of the vehicle. There are no entry fees for this event. Chicago Region will be paying all entry fees and will provide lunch for all of our participants. The Region’s Activities Committee will be contacting you with additional details as we begin our selections in July. The Chicago Region SCCA is looking forward to this very significant automobile event. We truly hope you can make the commitment and join us as well.
