2019 Geneva Concours d’Elegance
Chicago Region SCCA is back for a second year at the Geneva Concours d’Elegance on August 25, 2019
This year is the 75th anniversary of the Sports Car Club of America and the Chicago Region SCCA will be celebrating this milestone at the Geneva Concours d’Elegance. The Geneva Concours has taken place for over a decade and regularly draws over 175 classics, exotics and racecars. The Concours is a Not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization promoting the art of the automobile to benefit the LIVINGWELL Cancer Resource Center, in Geneva, Illinois. The Chicago Region’s participation in this event will also support this benefactor.
The concours is a one day event located on south Third St. in Geneva Illinois. The Chicago Region will again also be conducting our own concours on that day, the “Concours for Sports Cars”. The Region’s concours will be our own car show within the Geneva Concours. We will have five trophy categories and the Chicago Region will also be selecting one vehicle from our display to be a recipient of the prestigious Carl Benz Trophy from the Geneva Concours d’Elegance. The event takes place rain or shine.
The Chicago Region’s display of approximately 30 cars ranging from vintage sports cars to current race cars. A few of the display entries include: 1946 MG roadster, 1960 Austin Healey race car, 1965 Alfa Romero GTA Stradale, 1969 Jaguar E series, 1966 McKee MK Can Am, etc.
