Time Trials Series Expands for 2021

After the success at our fall mini Track Day and Time Trial at Autobahn Country Club on September 19th, 2020, the Chicago Region Board of Directors approved the purchase of a transponder timing system for local events. A total of 25 transponders and associated timing equipment was acquired and our Track Events committee is gearing up to provide a Time Trial run group at each of our Track Events this season. Transponders can be rented at each event for $30 in addition to the regular track event entry fee.

Both segments of the event (i.e. Track Day and Time Trials) will follow SCCA Time Trials Level 1 safety gear and car requirements. These can be found in the Time Trials section of SCCA.com under the “Need to Know” tab. Helmet and close-toed shoes are required for drivers. Trucks, SUVs and crossover vehicles, as well as most race cars, are not eligible.

Registration for our first event is now open and will take place on Friday, May 7th at Autobahn Country Club using the FULL course configuration.
