TrackFest Combines All the Track-Driving Fun SCCA Offers in One Event

Chicago Region SCCA and the national SCCA organization are bringing the best of the club’s on-track programs to one action-packed weekend August 26-27 at Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, Illinois.

Called TrackFest, this event offers performance driving sessions (Track Days), Track Trials, a Bracket Enduro and autocross test and tune, along with a Saturday night celebration for driving and racing enthusiasts. From street cars driven to the event to fully prepped Runoffs contenders, the weekend has a little something for everyone — SCCA members and non-members alike.

The event consists of five different disciplines. The track day portion — divided into novice, intermediate and advanced groups — is primarily for street cars driven by those who want a recreational event with instruction. Track Trials are for street or production-based race cars keeping track of lap times.  The Bracket Enduro is an endurance race where teams of two to four drivers try to go as far and fast as possible, or try to hit a target time on every lap. In addition, the Chicago Region autocross program will run a test and tune event both days at the Autobahn kart track and skid pad.

The Autobahn’s North Course will be used on Saturday for the Track Day and Track Trials. There will be four15-minute sessions throughout the day for each Track Day run group as well as for the Track Trials group.  Lunch is included for those participating on Saturday, and we’ll hold an all-participant party on Saturday night.

That evening, there will be a track day on the Full Course with two 20-minute sessions for each of three run groups.

Sunday’s action takes place on Autobahn’s South Course with three Track Day sessions and an Enduro practice in the morning, followed by a four-hour Bracket Enduro race in the afternoon.

Entry fees are:

Track Days Saturday Day, North Course: $145 Saturday Evening, Full Course: $145

Sunday, South Course: $145 One Saturday event plus Sunday: $265 (a $25 discount)

Both Saturday events plus Sunday: $385 (a $50 discount)

Track Trials

Saturday Day, North Course:  $180 (includes transponder)

Race Groups  Bracket Enduro: $400
