The 2024 Chicago Region SCCA Annual Meeting

The Chicago Region Board of Directors invites you to join us for our Annual Membership meeting held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, starting at 7:00 pm at Blackdog Speed Shop, 600 Barclay Blvd, Lincolnshire, IL 60069.

Per the Region’s Bylaws the agenda for the Annual meeting will be a recap of the year.  Then “RE” Roger Vilmur will present the three candidates nominated to serve on the Region’s Board of Directors, and the Secretary of the Board of Directors shall cast one vote for each candidate to install them on the 2025 Chicago Region Board of Directors.  The nominees are Peter LeSueur, Chris Dvorak and Jeff Kumler. Peter LeSueur will be returning for his second term and is our current Track Events liaison. He is also an active road racer in the Northern Conference.  Chris Dvorak is an active Solo competitor and is frequently found assisting with the conduct of the events.  Jeff Kumler is also an active Solo competitor and likewise is frequently found assisting with the conduct of the events.

Following the business of the Annual Meeting, we will conduct the Chicago Region, SCCA Member Recognition meeting.  The Chicago Region is fortunate to have many loyal and long-term members. Your participation and support of the Region is important to our continued success. 

At this Membership Recognition Meeting we want to say Thank You, for your membership to the club and to those that served on a committee.  We will be presenting SCCA anniversary pins to those that have reached one of the clubs measured mile stone years.  We will also be presenting a memento to those who served the Region in 2024 on one of the many committees.  We hope those that celebrated an anniversary this year, or those that supported and served the Region on a committee can attend to be honored!  

So please come join us, visit with friends, and find out what’s going on, and congratulate those that are receiving an award.  And remember, there is always something interesting to look at when you’re at Blackdog, from the race cars to the cars in the shop and in the showroom.  Maybe you will find something to add to your collection, or maybe you just want to begin a collection.
