The month of August was HOT, but the weather gods shined down on us on the fourth weekend of August 2023 which was a busy weekend for the Chicago Region and the weather was great!Ā Saturday and Sunday saw the running of the Kettle Moraine Divisional Road Race at Road America.Ā Also on Sunday the Region conducted its fourth āConcours for Sports Carsā as a featured group in the 2023 Geneva Concours dāElegance.Ā
As a throwback to the 1990ās when the Chicago Region held a photo contest, the Activities Committee has established a photo contest as a vehicle to record the Chicago Regionās 75th anniversary year with photographs.

This year for the Chicago Regionās 75th Anniversary Celebration the party was back at Ferrari Lake Forest and again like in the past Rick opened the showroom to allow us to walk among the Ferrariās and other special cars.Ā This year just as in the past we also had a car on display.Ā In keeping with the historical theme of display vehicles Tom Simpson shared his 1966 McKee MK VI CanAm car with us.Ā

The Central Division Hall of Fame is announcing the opening of nominations to be presented in 2023.
The Chicago Region, SCCA, Triple CrownĀ® award recognizes consistent outstanding performance by SCCA racers during a single year, starting with a win at the Chicago Region June SprintsĀ®. The 2021 Triple Crown Award went to four drivers: David Daughtery, BSpec, Indianapolis Region; Tim Day Jr., P2, San Francisco Region; Andrew Whitston, FV, Milwaukee Region; and Sven de Vries, F500, Saginaw Valley Region.
