As part of the Chicago Region SCCA 75th anniversary celebration, on October 21st the Chicago Region put on a special G.O.A.T.S. (Get Out and Tour Series) event celebrating “75 Years of Momentum”. For those that joined us they had a very enjoyable day. It was sunny, a bit cool, with sixteen drivers and navigators all gathered and chomping at the bit to hit the backroads as it were.
As part of the Chicago Region SCCA 75th anniversary celebration on October 21st the Chicago Region will be running another G.O.A.T.S. (Get Out and Tour Series) event. Join us this fall as the colors are changing for another drive through southern Wisconsin to Elkhart Lake on some of the most scenic backroads there are to enjoy.

G.O.A.T.S. (Get Out and Tour Series) backroads tour series will provide you with an enjoyable day of driving, using great Wisconsin backroads providing scenic views and plenty of turns and elevation changes. The drive will take approximately 2.5 hours to complete ending in Paoli Wisconsin

As you may know, the CDC’s interim guidance suggests the postponement of events involving more than 50 people. It is the Chicago Region SCCA’s priority to do our part in protecting the public health while still planning and conducting our scheduled competition, driving, and social events.

It is with great sadness that we announce that we have cancelled our annual Spring Training, scheduled for March 21-22.
Weather was not a factor this time, sunny and warm, (rather hot by the end of the day) but very nice overall. There were three recommended stops on the tour allowing participants to sample and pick up cheese, wine or beer.

I belong to several clubs and no surprise to anyone, they’re all car and motorsports-related. Each has its own distinct activities, members and its own feel (or vibe if you’re from the ’70s like me).
