Geneva Councours Gaining Momentum

This is it, the big event of the year, part of our celebration of our 70th anniversary. Don’t miss out on the fun, and an opportunity to spend an enjoyable day with friends, fantastic automobiles, and sharing our history with Geneva Concours observers.

Geneva Concours d’Elegance 2018

The Chicago Region SCCA will be celebrating our 70th anniversary in 2018 and as part of our celebration we are going to take part in the Geneva Concours dā€™Elegance.Ā  The Geneva Concours has taken place for over a decade and regularly draws over 175 classics, exotics and racecars.

2018 “GOATS” Back Roads Tour – April 7th

The route covers approximately 150 miles with intermediate stops at a cheese factory and a winery. The tour will end at The Firehouse Pub in Roscoe, Ill., where you can have a drink, share some stories, and spend time with friends over a pleasant mid-afternoon lunch from the restaurant’s varied menu.

2018 Checkered Flag Party and Awards

On February 17, the Region kicked off our 2018 season with another great party at Lake Forest Sportscars. We celebrated achievements of Region Members in 2017 and acknowleged the beginning of our MILESTONE 70TH YEAR as a Region.

Annual Membership Meeting in November

On November 15Ā the Chicago Region will be conducting our Annual Meeting at K1-Speed in Addison Illinois.Ā  This will be your first opportunity to meet our new members of the Board of Directors and you may even find out who the next Regional Executive will be.Ā  Also Paul Zimmerman founder and owner of the Motorsport Collector will be joining us to talk about the motorsports collectable market.

Tee-Time Tour – October 14, 2017

The route for the tour is approximately a one hundred and thirty mile drive (about three to three and a half hours) providing scenic roads with plenty of turns and elevation changes. We have planned a mid-point stop at Hawks Mill Winery to provide everyone with an opportunity to enjoy the winery and the views from their estate. The end point will be at the Anchor in Newville Wisconsin, advertised as the ā€œHottest Spot on the Rockā€. There will be a social hour with appetizers at the end of the tour and if you choose to grab a bite to eat they offer a variety of food items and craft beers.
